The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is the statutory body responsible for the planning and development of Islamabad. Established under the CDA Ordinance 1960, the authority was created to manage the capital’s planned growth, urban development and municipal functions
CDA’s planning responsibilities include preparation and revision of sector layouts, monitoring development schemes, maintaining the Islamabad Master Plan framework and regulating land use across the capital.
